It is Christmas Eve and I need to plan my menu for the week. I was able to get almost ALL of the kids presents wrapped, we are waiting on their "big" gift from Santa, I ordered it online last Sunday and it looks like it is going to be delivered today. The problem is that I had it delivered to Tyson's work so Morgan wouldn't wonder what the packages are for and the office closes at Noon today so I am hoping that it gets delivered before then, otherwise we will have to go down to Fed Ex to pick it up. Oh well, at least they will get their Santa gifts on Christmas (bikes for the twins and Hello Kitty Bedding for Morgan)
Sunday: Taco Soup
Monday: Appetizers, Chicken Wings, Potato Skins and Shrimp Quesadilla's (from PW of course)
Tuesday: CHRISTMAS DAY! I am making my traditional Egg Bake for breakfast. We will feast on Ham, Cheesy Potato Casserole, Green Bean Casserole, Salad and Rolls (yum)
Wednesday: Spaghetti, Garlic Bread and Salad
Thursday: Leftover Ham (not sure what recipe yet)
Friday: Chili Cheese Hot Dogs, Macaroni Salad and Fries
Saturday: Not sure yet, maybe eat out, maybe make homemade pizza...I will see how we feel
Have a Merry Christmas!!

Menu coming soon
I know I haven't posted a menu in two weeks, the first week I had my friend Lee and her adorable son Ethan here at the house and I wanted to wait and see what she felt like having for dinner. Last week we were all recovering from the stomach flu so eating was sparse. Now I need to get to the grocery store since I ran out of time this weekend and I don't want to plan a menu until I have gotten to the store.
Yesterday I made The Pioneer Woman's Salisbury Steak and it was delicious, today I think I am going to make her Chicken Parmesan with garlic bread and Salad (I have been craving salad a lot lately). I have a ton of ideas especially since it has been colder, I know that I want to make a pot roast and then we will have leftovers to make french dips. I also want to make a Turkey soup with our leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. Also, Christmas is fastley approaching so I thought I would make a Ham for dinner, along with my breakfast casserole that is our traditional Christmas breakfast.
So stayed tuned I should have a menu planned by tomorrow.

My Menu
Ugh, I am still sick. We all are and this just stinks! Having to take care of 3 small kids who aren't feeling well when you barely have enough energy to shower is hard! I have had this nasty cold for 10 days and it doesn't seem to be going anywhere any time soon, although I would hope it would go away! Here is my menu this week, it may change depending on how I feel at the time I am cooking. Also food is just not the same when you can barely breath and are coughing so hard it hurts!
Sunday: Taco Soups, taquito's and mini taco's
Monday: Pork Chops, homemade mac and cheese and green beans
Tuesday: Rigatoni w/ sweet sausage, salad and garlic bread
Wednesday: Fried Chicken, rice and corn
Thursday: Sloppy Joes (going to try this new recipe), tator tots and fries
Friday: Cheeseburgers, baked beans and macaroni salad
Saturday: Appetizers (we didn't have this last week) Chicken Bites, stuffed mushrooms and potatoe skins
Man this took me a long time to come up with, but I stuck to the basics this week so then it will be easier for me and I won't feel so overwhelmed! I am hoping to kick this stupid cold in the butt and I really, really hope that it goes away fast! Have a great week everyone!!!

My Menu
I really don't feel like planning a menu. On Friday I started to feel like I was getting sick and the next morning when I woke up it hit me hard! I spent the whole weekend in bed with no energy. I was either starving or not hungry, I was sweating and then had the chills. So menu planning was not on my mind at all! I still am not 100% and not sure what I want to cook this week but I am going to try.
Sunday: Spaghetti, and garlic bread
Monday: Hamburger Helper (1. We haven't had this forever, 2. I know its not the best but heck I am sick so I can cheat one day), corn and rolls
Tuesday: Homemade Chicken and Noodles (I have two of these batches frozen, from PW), salad and quesadilla's
Wednesday: Carne Asada, grilled veggies and roasted potatoes
Thursday: Thanksgiving Day. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole and rolls (all the fixings!)
Friday: Leftovers
Saturday: Appetizers (we didn't have this last Saturday as I was sick) Wings, stuffed mushrooms and potatoe skins
Now I am off to wash our sheets in hopes that any germs are lingering will go away. I just really hope that I feel better by Thursday as Thanksgiving dinner is my favorite to make and eat!!!! Have a great week!

My Menu
Brrr it has been cold outside! I love cooking when it is cold outside, there is just something cozy about having a warm stove cooking away comfort food while it is chilly outside! I have really been wanting to make a lot of different soups for dinner, but the girls tend to not eat a ton of it when I make it so I am doing a slow transition for them so they will get used to it and start to eat more. So with that said, here is my menu for this week
Sunday: Chili (had a big batch frozen) and Cornbread
Monday: Tuna Noodle Casserole (hoping the twins eat this as they are not fans of casserole, but hey they have to get used to it), Corn and Rolls
Tuesday: Meatloaf (this time I am trying The Pioneer Woman's--no surprise!), Cheesy Potatoes and Green Beans
Wednesday: Beer Can Chicken, Leftover Potatoes, and Leftover Veggies
Thursday: Brinner! Breakfast for dinner, Pancakes, Bacon, Eggs and Hash browns. (so much because I prefer eggs, Morgan prefers pancakes)
Friday: OUT (either out or order in, but I get at least 1 day off from cooking in a month)
Saturday: Steak, Caramelized Mushrooms and Onions, and Shrimp Scampi.
I have to get a grocery trip in this week as well. We don't need much but some of the essentials like Rice, noodles, veggies, and I need to stock up on just a few meat items like Ground Beef and Chicken. But before I get to the grocery store I want to plan my menu for the next month (which is how I used to do it) so then I can make sure that we have most of the stuff for the month and then I don't have to run out in the cold with three kids to pick up stuff. We will save that for the fresh produce I have to get. (and that is like once a week, we go through a lot of fruit in this house) Have a great week!!

Halloween 2012
I was really excited this year for Halloween! Last year Cameryn and Jaidyn had just started walking and really didn't know what was going on and this year I knew once they realized that they get candy by going to a door in a costume that they were going to love it! Morgan right away said she wanted to be Strawberry Shortcake, so that was settled and done. I was going to have Jaidyn be Elmo since she LOVES him and when we were at Target I just couldn't bring myself to pay full price for a costume, but while we were there I was eyeing a really cute Owl costume for Cameryn but again it was full price.
A few weeks went by and I kept searching to get their costumes on sale and then I had an idea, I thought if the twins could be little devils that it would be cute. So I was looking online at Target.com and found the cutest devil costumes, however they were full price. Then I saw the cute Owl costume I was eyeing for Cameryn was on clearance....it went from $17.99 to $7.50! I knew that was their costume!
Now when it came time to get dressed for Halloween, Morgan and Jaidyn were all about it. Cameryn on the other hand did NOT want to wear her costume! But she got over it as soon as we were out and about and she was getting candy in her bag! We took all three girls to about 20-25 houses and at about 7:30 Cameryn and Jaidyn were done, they didn't even want to walk anymore. Tyson took them home to get ready for bed and I took Morgan out for another 45 minutes. She had a blast!
I know that each year is going to be more and more fun for them and I can't wait!!!

My Menu
Last week went by really fast, and I actually stuck to my menu with the exception of Saturday, we had some friends over for dinner so I made Taco's instead of Appetizers. Nothing is really going on this week for us, Morgan has her two days of Preschool as well as school pictures on Thursday, so I am pretty excited for that! I still need to update on our annual Saturday Movie night and I should be able to get a chance to do that this week sometime! Here is my menu.
Sunday: Spaghetti batch in the crock pot (we were all out), garlic bread and salad
Monday: Grilled Chicken, Creamy Garlic Pasta (this is new for me), cooked carrots
Tuesday: Hungarian Goulash, Salad and Rolls
Wednesday: Crispy Cheddar Chicken (I have made this before and it was good), rice and corn
Thursday: Pulled Pork, PW's Perfect Potatoes Au Gratin, and Green Beans
Friday: Fried Chicken, Macaroni Salad and Pasta Salad
Saturday: Appetizers: Chicken Wings, Stuffed Mushrooms and Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (these are very good)
I need to find more ground beef recipes, for some reason I have been struggling with ideas, we always make the basics of Taco's, Meatloaf, Hamburgers ETC...so I am going to be searching as much as I can to try a few new things! Have a great week!!

My Menu
Last week went by fast, I am not sure why because we really didn't have anything going on but I can't believe it is Monday already and almost Halloween, which I am sooooo excited for this year to see how Cameryn and Jaidyn are going to react to getting candy! Here is my menu for this week, stay posted as I have another post to update you guys on our new annual Saturday movie night!
Sunday: Pork Chops, scalloped potatoes and corn
Monday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green beans
Tuesday: Chicken Fettuccine (the Alfredo recipe is from PW), bread sticks and salad
Wednesday: Taco Soup (our Halloween tradition) and taquito's
Thursday: Tilapia (we didn't have this last week), roasted potatoes and Green beans
Friday: Pizza Night
Saturday: Appetizers, Wings, stuffed mushrooms and Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (I have made these once and they were delicious!)
I am also already planning next weeks menu. I have to get a big spaghetti batch done as we have no sauce left in our freezer but I thought I would save that for Sunday since I like to cook in my crock pot on Sunday nights, I also have some left over pot roast meat that I want to make something out of, as well as a big pork roast to make pulled pork so I am going to try to get my menu done for next week this week! Have a great week and please check back as I have another post about our movie night!

My Menu
I am having a hard time planning my menu this week, mostly because there is so much I want to make that I have been craving and I am just not sure what route to go, but again, here is my menu and I am making it up as I type (again) But hey, that is okay at least I will have a plan in place.
Sunday: Pot Roast in the Crock pot, with potatoes (from our garden), carrots, and onions, and Rhodes Rolls
Monday: Kielbasa, cheesy noodles and green beans
Tuesday: Chicken and Noodles (My FAVORITE recipe from PW), Easy Parmesan Bites (I haven't made these before but they look good) and corn
Wednesday: Taco's, tator tots, and re fried beans
Thursday: Sweet and Sour Chicken (new recipe, I haven't tried), Fried Rice (another new recipe) and egg rolls
Friday: Parmesan Crusted Tilapia (from Rachel Ray), roasted potatoes, and salad (leftover veggies as well if we have them)
Saturday: Cheeseburgers and The Perfect French Fries (from PW--of course)
I am trying a few new things this week and I am excited, I get sick of the same old food all the time. I know that I seem a bit obsessed with The Pioneer Woman and I know I have said this before but honestly there has not been ONE dish of hers that I made that I would not make again. And her Chicken and Noodles recipe is the BEST! Have a great week everyone!!

Update on our life
This summer went by way too fast, I can't even believe Halloween is right around the corner! I finally got around to downloading pictures from our camera and thought I would update on the girls and what we have been up to these past few months!
Morgan Jo: Morgan started preschool in September, she goes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-1130, the first 3 times I dropped her off she cried, she didn't want me to leave, but after that she now runs into the room and can't wait to go back! She is very observant, asks ALOT of questions and remembers almost anything (including things we have done years ago) She gets bored easily so I am always trying to think of things that she can do to keep her busy. Here are some of her favorite things currently:
Age: 4 years and 9 months (where did the time go).
Favorite Food: Peanut butter and Strawberry Jam sandwiches, Celery, Carrots, plums, apples, oranges, Swiss cheese, Doritos, and any kind of chocolate
Dislikes: Scrambled Eggs, Asparagus, and onions
Favorite T.V. Show: Curious George, Strawberry Shortcake (which is her Halloween costume this year), and Bob the Builder
Favorite activity: Painting, she loves painting.
Favorite Color: Purple, she wants to wear purple EVERYDAY
Favorite toy: She loves to play in the sandbox, she loves riding her bikes, and really likes playing with puzzles
Favorite character: Hello Kitty and Strawberry Shortcake
What she wants to be when she grows up: Recently she told me that she wants to be a Fireman
Fun Fact: She has lost 2 bottom teeth! The dentist is not concerned since she is on the younger side because she is getting her adult teeth in right after.
Cameryn Paige: Cameryn is our "emotional" child, if you tell her No or Stop it is usually followed by a meltdown of tears! She is content playing on her own, although from time to time really gets into playing with her sisters. She is a mama's girl! She still is talking too much, but she does say Mama, Daha (for daddy), Da (dog), IIII (for Hi, and waves at the same time), ohhh (for uh-o), she signs Please, More, All Done, Drink, Banana and Help. She knows the noises for Cat, Dog, Monkey, Lion, Elephant, Giraffe, Duck, Bird, and Train. It gets better every day!
Age: 2 years and 3 months
Favorite Food: Bananas, Cheese, Grapes, Pineapple, Oranges, Ketchup, Chicken Nuggets, and fries
Dislikes: Casseroles
Favorite T.V. Show: She doesn't care for t.v., ususally when the girls are having t.v. time she is playing with a toy.
Favorite thing: She LOVES shoes, she is always playing and putting on different shoes
Favorite toy: anything that stacks, clicks, (like Lego's) and anything she can push
Fun Fact: She is wearing 24 months-2t and has a size 7 shoe.
Jaidyn Elliott: Oh Jaidyn, she is a goofy girl. She is always trying to do things to make us laugh. She is very bright and usually only have to show her something once for her to remember. She is mostly obedient, however is starting to copy Morgan in someways when she doesn't want to do something (like cross her arms in front of her and pout). She is talking more than Cameryn, she says Mama, Dada, Da (dog), Hi, Nite Nite, Waaa (water), brook (for broken), Ahhh (when you explain something to her she says Ahhhh), My (for mine), she signs Please, More, All Done, Drink, Banana, and Help. She knows the sounds to Cat, Dog, Monkey, Lion, Elephant, Giraffe, Duck, Bird and Train. She is for sure a daddy's girl!
Age: 2 years and 3 months
Favorite Food: Spaghetti, Scrambled eggs, canned peaches, dry cereal, chicken nuggets, ham, crackers, and cheese puffs
Dislikes: Casseroles, and its not that she doesn't "like" fruit, but she prefers carbs over fruit (which is funny because she is our "tiniest" kid we have had)
Favorite T.V. Show: Elmo's World and Curious George
Favorite Thing: Her Elmo stuffed animal and blankets
Favorite Toy: She doesn't really have a favorite, she plays with everything
Fun Fact: She can still fit in 12 month sizes (depending on the article of clothing) and has a size 6 shoe.
Jaidyn was making a Lion noise
Lately the twins have been fighting their nap, so I am thinking that might be going away soon, but I am going to keep on trying as it is nice to get some one on one time with Morgan while they nap! I am really looking forward to this Christmas and can't wait to see how they do with the tree (we didn't get one last year) and the presents. Also, this winter my two goals for Cameryn and Jaidyn are to start them in a toddler bed and start potty training (it would be wonderful to not have to buy anymore diapers!) My two goals with Morgan is for her to fully write her name (right now she can write M and O) and to know the whole alphabet by site. I am going to have to get creative as we will be stuck in the house for most of the day when winter hits!

My Menu
I didn't post a menu last week, I had one but by the time I remember I didn't post it was already Thursday. This week is a bit different, I am making my menu as I type this, I was able to make it to the grocery store and now we have all kinds of choices for dinner, which always makes the planning hard. I am also planning around the weather, it is a bit cooler here this week so I am trying to think of things that can be used in the crock pot!
Sunday: I really don't want to say what we ate because it is embarrassing, but in defense we had a late lunch and weren't really hungry at dinner time, but knew we needed to eat. So here it is, we had Corn Dogs, chicken nuggets, onion rings and tator tots (I know I deserve the Mom of the year award for that meal!)
Monday: Spaghetti, salad and garlic bread
Tuesday: Beer Can Chicken, mashed potatoes (taters from our garden!), gravy and green beans
Wednesday: Beef and Bean Burritos (from The Pioneer Woman), tator tots and salad
Thursday: Brinner (Breakfast for Dinner), Eggs, hash browns, bacon--the whole works
Friday: I can't decide, I am either doing a crock pot dinner or Order out---Cameryn has an late eye appt this day.
Saturday: Appetizer night: Steak Bites, potato skins, and quesadilla's
I know I sound like a broken record, but I am so excited that it is getting cooler! I picked up a Pot Roast to put in the crock pot later this month, I even got some Pork Roasts for pulled pork, I have a couple of soup recipes I want to try, I love the fall!!! Have a great week!

My Menu
I didn't post a menu last week because I was busy with Jeremy, Lee and Ethan being here. They flew in on Saturday night and Jeremy had to go back to work and left Tuesday morning, but Lee and Ethan got to stay until Sunday and it was a lot of fun. The girls loved having Ethan to play with and it was nice to be able to just sit around and chit chat with Lee! Now back to a normal week except I am on Jury Duty this week and I am not sure if I am going to get called in or not so this menu may change depending on that.
Sunday: Chicken Fried Steak (from The Pioneer Woman), mashed potatoes and corn
Monday: Sesame Chicken Stir fry, and rice
Tuesday: Rigatoni, Italian sausage, salad and garlic bread
Wednesday: Chicken and Dumplings (from The Pioneer Woman), and rolls
Thursday: W.T. Baked Potatoes, mac and cheese and chili
Friday: Pot Roast, carrots, potatoes, onions, and rolls
Saturday: French Dips with leftover pot roast, and fries
It is really going to cool down this week here so I am excited to get my crock pot out and make some comfort food! All the things on this weeks menu I have been craving so I am excited that it is going to be cooling down this week. Have a great week!

My Menu
I finally made it to the grocery store and to Costco this weekend! So now I have endless possibilities for dinner, which makes me happy!!! Although I am not doing anything "crazy" this week, it is just nice to have all the options.
Sunday: Steak, baked potatoes, caramelized onions and mushrooms and corn on the cob
Monday: Spaghetti (I had to do a big batch for the freezer), garlic bread and salad
Tuesday: Pork Chops, rice and asparagus
Wednesday: Salisbury Steak (I am trying PW's), mashed potatoes, gravy, rolls and green beans
Thursday: Super Sonic Breakfast Burritos (another PW recipe), homemade hash browns and bacon
Friday: Appetizers: (we didn't have this last weekend), Jalapeno Poppers, wings, and potato skins
Saturday: Not sure yet what we are going to have. Our friends, Lee, Jeremy and their adorable son Ethan might be coming to visit!
I know I have said this before, but I am really wanting a few "cool" days so I can make some good comfort food in the crock pot! I have a ton of ideas that I want to start trying and I would prefer for it to be cooler than what it is now! If Lee, Jeremy and Ethan are able to fly in on Saturday than I am going to have a fun week ahead for me and I will get a TON of girl time! Have a great week.

My Menu
Apparently I needed more coffee when I posted this as I just noticed I left out Thursday on my menu! Yes we are eating this day, I just forgot to add it :)
This week is going to be a long week! It is the first full week in the last 3 weeks that Tyson doesn't have at least one day off! So having my menu planned is going to help and save a lot of time and thinking which will be nice so that will free up so more time to get a few things done and play with the girls!
Sunday: Pulled Pork Leftovers, cheesy potatoes and pea pods
Monday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and rolls
Tuesday: Cheese Tortellini with homemade Alfredo sauce, salad and homemade break sticks
Wednesday: Ranch Chicken (I didn't make this last week), crash hot potatoes (another one from PW) and Salad
Thursday: Cheeseburgers, baked beans and homemade fries
Friday: Homemade Pizza on the grill
Saturday: Appetizers, Wings, Jalapeno poppers, Cheddar Beer Cocktail Weenies and Steak Bites
It is starting to cool down here and that is nice, Fall is my favorite season followed by Winter, I just love being able to make stews, soups and pot roasts when it is chilly outside! I have been watching the t.v. show Master Chef and it has really gotten my creative juices flowing as far as meals go. So I plan on making a list of all the creative stuff I want to try and pick a few out each month to cook up! I am just getting sick of the same old menu items and could really use a change. Stay tuned for an update on Morgan's start of preschool (I just have to get the pictures downloaded) Have a great week!!
This week is going to be a long week! It is the first full week in the last 3 weeks that Tyson doesn't have at least one day off! So having my menu planned is going to help and save a lot of time and thinking which will be nice so that will free up so more time to get a few things done and play with the girls!

My Menu
I had my menu planned already, just late getting it posted :). It was nice this past week with Tyson off of work Thursday, Friday and Monday. We did a ton of fun things with the girls, a trip to the zoo, a trip to the farmers market, lots of playing and letting them stay up a little later than normal. So it is going to be hard going into this week and the next week. However Morgan had her first day of preschool today so I will have a separate post on that (stay tuned)
Sunday: Cheeseburgers, baked beans and fries
Monday: Chicken Legs, rice and green beans
Tuesday: Spaghetti, salad and garlic bread
Wednesday: Pioneer Woman's Ranch Chicken, twice baked potatoes and pea pods
Thursday: W.T. Baked Potatoes, chili and macaroni and cheese
Friday: Pulled Pork, corn on the cob and salad
Saturday: Going to a BBQ at a friends house!
Oh by the way last week I made these from the Pioneer Woman and I have to say that they were DELICIOUS! I highly recommend anyone to make them! So far I have yet to find something of hers that I didn't LOVE! She sure knows how to cook. Have a great week!!

My Menu
I know it is already Tuesday, but better late than never to plan my menu for the week. Even as I type this I have no idea what all the meals are going to be so I am just going to go with it and see what I come up with! We had a busy week last week, Tyson's birthday was on Friday and he took the day off, so we went to the fair with the girls, after we got home neither of us felt like cooking so we ordered Chinese food! On Saturday we took the girls fishing at CJ Strike to just kinda get a change of scenery and they LOVED it. This week he is taking Thursday and Friday off (we were suppose to go camping but with the burn ban it is not going to happen) so I am not sure if the meals I have planned are going to work or not but it is nice to have something in place!
Sunday: Appetizers (we were suppose to have this on Friday and then Saturday but it didn't happen), wings, potato skins and stuffed mushrooms
Monday: Taco Soup (I know right, soup when it is hot out, I had to go to Morgan's preschool orientation so I needed to make something quick and easy)
Tuesday: Italian chicken with caramelized onions and mushrooms, corn on the cob and rolls
Wednesday: Carne Asada, grilled veggies, and fried potatoes
Thursday: The MM Sandwich, PW Style (from pioneer woman), baked beans and fries
Friday: Not sure, Tyson is going to a friends house to watch the BSU game so I am not sure what me and the girls will have.
Saturday: ?? Not sure, either Steak, or Finger Steaks
I haven't been trying too many new dishes lately, I think mostly because I haven't had time to look on pinterest (where a lot of them come from) but with Fall around the corner I have a ton of recipes I want to try, especially from The Pioneer Woman, I haven't made one thing of hers that we didn't like! If you are not familiar with her, check out her website here, she is AWESOME, and really funny too! Have a great week!!!

Camping
We were so excited this year to be going camping, last year was just too much for us to handle since the girls weren't walking yet. We even bought a new tent to make the small trips easier than lugging around and setting up the camper trailer. No unfortunately our other camping trips have to be set aside because of all the fires that are happening in the mountains. You can still camp and have a fire in a designated camp area, but that is not our camping style. We like to be alone and isolated away from other people to enjoy the peace and quiet. So we are hoping the burn ban will lift soon and we can get maybe 2 more trips in this year. Here are some pictures from our trip to Lowman this year.
We did have one huge scary moment camping. If you look at the picture where the dogs are in the water, it is like a tide pool area that is off the river. It was pretty shallow except for the very right side and Morgan went to grab a stick but it drops way off, I have never moved so fast in my life to grab her, and we both managed to get soaked but at least I was right there to get her right away. Sure did get my heart going! Like I said earlier, hopefully we can get a few more trips in this years as the girls had a blast and did great sleeping in the tent!
Miss Jaidyn having fun
Cameryn
Of course the dogs had to fetch sticks in the water
All three girls
I took probably a dozen of these photos and this is the only one where they are all looking at the camera, of course Jaidyn is picking her nose (I have a ton of pics of her doing this)
Cameryn just relaxing
Morgan's dirty face
Say Cheese

My Menu
We managed to recover our pictures from our hard drive now I just need to download the newest ones on the camera so I can update on the girls. I will get to that eventually, but right now I need to plan my menu for the week and do laundry, vacuum etc. All that pesky house chore stuff!
Sunday: BBQ Baby Back Ribs, salad and fried potatoes
Monday: Tilapia (we didn't have this last week), fresh green beans (from our garden), and noodles
Tuesday: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn
Wednesday: Roasted Chicken, rice, and pea pods
Thursday: BLT's, macaroni salad and fries
Friday: Pizza Night
Saturday: Appetizers, Wings, potato skins, and stuffed mushrooms
I have to say that I am enjoying using our BBQ so much this year, but I am looking forward to cooler weather as I am really missing some of our fall comfort food, like Taco Soup and Pot Roast. It will be nice when the weather changes because we will be able to add more variety into our menu! Have a great week!!

My Menu
I know I haven't posted in a while, but we have had a few busy weeks this past month. My sister in law and niece were here visiting followed by a 9 day visit from my parents! It was wonderful, the girls had a blast, especially Morgan, she really loves her Grandma and Papa, so much when I dropped them off at the airport the first thing she said was "I am really sad that grandma and papa had to leave" and it broke my heart. Good news is that hopefully next year at this time they will be living here! I have also been wanting to update posts on the girls, but now we are having a hard time finding all our pictures from the last 3 years on our hard drive. Sometimes if it isn't one thing it is another!! Now I am back to my daily routine and that means making up a menu! We were spoiled with my parents here, we ate out a bunch and they cooked for us the whole time!! It was a nice break but now I have to get back into my groove and start planning all the meals again.
Sunday: Pizza and Hot Wings (we didn't feel like cooking)
Monday: Chicken Legs (Teriyaki and Hot), fried potatoes, salad and green beans
Tuesday: Rigatoni with spaghetti sauce, garlic bread and salad
Wednesday: Taco's, refried beans and tator tots (and peas for the girls--I try to give the veggies everyday)
Thursday: W.T. Baked Potatoes, Chili and Mac and Cheese (and leftover green beans)
Friday: Tilapia, rice and corn
Saturday: Homemade Finger Steaks and fries
Good news is and I am on top of all of our laundry, I only have the girls bedding and some clothing left to wash today, so that is going to free up a lot of my time. It is also going to be hot, hot, hot outside so I want to get some projects done inside the house. I have some serious organizing to do in my kitchen cabinets as well as my closet! Have a great week!!

My Menu
I finally made it to the grocery store this weekend, the only thing that stinks about that is we have so many choices for dinners I don't know what I want to make first! So just another basic menu for this week, next week my parents fly in so I am planning on having my parents make me some of my favorite dishes from when I was growing up :). My mom is more than happy to cook for us and it is nice that I will get a little break from cooking!
Sunday: Leftovers, Chili Dogs, Bean Dip, Chips and Salsa and salad
Monday: Pork Chops, mashed potatoes, corn and salad
Tuesday: Taco Tuesday (we didn't have this last week), tater tots, and re fried beans
Wednesday: Chicken Parmesan, noodles, salad and garlic bread
Thursday: BLT's, baked beans and fries
Friday: Homemade Pizza on the BBQ grill, chicken bites and salad
Saturday: Cassy's Wedding Reception: Pot luck BBQ food (bonus for me since I won't have to cook!)
Now I am off to plan my menu for when my parents are here, so many choices of what I want them to make for me! :)

My Menu
We just got back from camping, I didn't make it to the grocery store this weekend because we were camping, so I am just going to do some of our "basic" go to meals this week until I can make it to the store this coming weekend. Speaking of camping, we had a blast and I want to upload a post about it, but first I have to figure out how to download our pictures to our computer since I have only downloaded them to our now dead laptop! So hopefully I can get that done some day this week, after I catch up on laundry and dishes from our camping excursion! It is also going to be hot, hot, hot this week so I want to avoid turning on the oven so it doesn't heat up the house even more!
Sunday: Spaghetti, garlic bread and salad
Monday: BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches (I have some pork already cooked and frozen), Baked Beans (the twin's favorite) and fried potato rounds
Tuesday: Taco Tuesday, re fried beans and tator tots
Wednesday: Crock pot Honey Chicken, rice and corn
Thursday: Pork Chops, noodles and green Beans
Friday: Pizza Night
Saturday: Cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, pasta salad (We are having friends over for a BBQ)
So it is a pretty easy week with the meals and nothing new to add to the menu, but like I said, I really have to get to the grocery store and there is no way I am going on a big trip with three kids. So, we will make do with what we have! Have a great week and stay tuned, I promise to update our camping trip!!!

My Menu
I had a menu last week, I just didn't get around to posting it. I really want to do some other updated posts on the girls but I have to get pictures downloaded to this computer since our laptop is done. So that is my goal this week! Cameryn and Jaidyn both had some kind of bug this last week, just high fevers and they slept a lot, now that they are on the mend poor Morgan has it. I didn't take them into the Dr. because the fevers only lasted 3 days and there were no other symptoms, I just hope they don't continue to pass it to each other!
Sunday: Chicken Spaghetti (new recipe, it was okay, but probably won't make again), salad and garlic bread
Monday: Keilbasa, sauteed mushrooms and onions, garlic noodles (new recipe) and green beans
Tuesday: Oven Baked Chicken (new recipe), homemade rice a roni, corn and rolls
Wednesday: Happy 4th of July! We are having our neighbors and friends over for a BBQ! So I am making Chicken Legs, deviled eggs, roasted potatoes, my neighbor is bringing pasta salad and my friend and her kids are bringing another side dish or chips! We will probably make hot dogs for the kids unless they want chicken.
Thursday: Spaghetti, salad and garlic bread
Friday: WERE GOING CAMPING! Chili Cheese Dogs, chips
Saturday: ??? We haven't decided, we are thinking about grilling up a steak. The kids LOVE hot dogs, so they will probably have hot dogs again!
Tyson and I realized that the only time we can go camping this month is this coming weekend. We have a friend and his kids coming over next weekend for a BBQ, than my sister in law comes into town for our cousin's wedding reception and than my parents fly in for a week! This will be the twins 2nd time EVER camping and we are actually going to tent camp instead of bringing the trailer so this should be interesting. I am just excited to get out of town for a couple of days! Have a great week!!

My Menu
It is that time again for my menu. We didn't go camping this weekend as Tyson was on call and I didn't get to the grocery store this either as we had a pretty busy week. I also didn't get to all my meals planned last week as we are helping my sister in law and brother in law out with their house here in Boise. It is a rental house and their current tenant moved out and needless to say the yard needed a lot of TLC. So Wednesday and Thursday night I met Tyson down there with the kids and we got to work. So unfortunately those nights were fast food dinner nights. (which is a treat for the kids so they were happy). We also worked there on Saturday and Tyson was there for a few hours on Sunday. He will be there most of this week after work and we will probably meet up with him one or two of the nights. In which I will probably make sandwiches or something in the crock pot for dinner. It all just depends on how it goes for him the next couple of nights. There is not much I can do as he is just going to be painting the bedroom and I don't want the kids around wet paint so we will see.
Sunday: Fathers Day Dinner. Steak, caramelized onions and mushrooms, baked potatoes
Monday: Crock Pot Chicken Wings (I had chicken wings out for Saturday night but we got home late so we didn't make them), homemade rice a roni (first time trying this recipe minus the chicken) and salad
Tuesday: Tator Tot Casserole, corn, and rolls
Wednesday: White Chicken Enchilada's (have made this before and it is delicious but I add extra stuff like peppers and mushrooms) salad and roasted potatoes
Thursday: Hot Dogs, molasses beans and green beans (random I know but it is suppose to be 97 degrees this day and I want something that won't heat up the house)
Friday: Chinese or Fried Chicken?
Saturday: We will probably BBQ, however our BBQ is acting up (yes another appliance on the brink of death so we will see what we come up with)
I have to get to the grocery store this weekend, there is no way around that. I am really hoping Tyson can figure out what is going on with our BBQ as we use that so much during the summer and I really don't want to have to buy a new one. It is working it is just taking forever to heat up so we are not sure what is happening. Well I am off to go and tackle laundry! Have a great week everyone!!!

My Menu
It's that time again for my menu. This has been a rough last couple of weeks. You know the saying when it rains, it pours. Well it flooded in our house (not literally), but between Camas getting sick and having surgery, to our laptop going caput, and this past weekend we had to put our cat of 12 years down. She was old, having a hard time getting around and was going to the bathroom everywhere. Now she wasn't the nicest cat (well she was to me and to Tyson, but that was it) she was our first pet we got together and it was hard to make the decision to do this. But it is the cycle of life and I knew it was going to happen at some point. So, I am going to move forward and hope that things start to get better and hopefully things stop breaking!
Sunday: Teriyaki Chicken Legs, roasted potatoes and pasta salad (I tried this new recipe and it is delicious!)
Monday: Pork Chops, corn on the cob, and tomato cream noodles (this is new for me and of course from The Pioneer Woman)
Tuesday: Spaghetti, salad and garlic bread (Morgan has been requesting this meal all weekend, so I must oblige)
Wednesday: Crock Pot Honey Chicken ( I have tried this once and want to try it again as it didn't turn out like I expected), rice and green beans
Thursday: Penne Ala Betsy (another new recipe and from The Pioneer woman) salad and homemade bread sticks
Friday: ?? I really, really want to go camping, but we are still discussing if Camas would be okay since she is still recovering. If not maybe Chinese Takeout.
Saturday: If we don't go camping then we will BBQ something.
I just noticed that there is a lot of pasta this week, but the girls LOVE pasta so I know that they will be eating good. I am also excited because the salads we will have are going to have the lettuce and radishes from our garden! I love summer time and having a garden it is nice to be able to go in your back yard and pick out food to eat. Have a great week!

My Menu
Well it is Monday again and I still don't have a menu planned so I am going to fly by the seat of my pants on this one and see what I can come up with. The last few days have been really warm and now we are getting a cold front in so I am just not sure if it is going to stay that way or change back to warm. So I decided that this menu is subject to change depending on weather.
Sunday: Spaghetti Batch in the Crock Pot (I didn't get to this last week)
Monday: Easy Cheesy Meat and Potatoes (we have made this a bunch and it is YUMMY), green beans and crescent rolls.
Tuesday: Chicken and Dumplings, salad and corn
Wednesday: Big Salad Night (a variety of toppings), soup and bread sticks
Thursday: BLT's, fries and pasta salad
Friday: Either OUT or Homemade Pizza on the grill
Saturday: Appetizers: Cheddar Beer Weenies (new recipe) Potato Skins and Chicken Wings
I still have a few more posts that I want to blog about regarding Camas and the girls....I am hoping to get to those later this week, it has just been, busy, busy, busy with the girls! Have a great week!!

My Menu
I didn't post a menu last week mostly because I was in EXTREME pain from my root canal I had gotten the week prior. Turned out I got an infection in the bone around where the root canal took place as well as the roof of my mouth. It was all located on the front right side of my mouth and needless to say I couldn't eat very much and to think of a menu for a week was just too much. So we just played it by what sounded good to me and what was soft enough for me to eat. Now that I have had a round of antibiotics I am doing so much better and can now bite, chew, eat, etc. Here is my menu for the week.
Sunday: Chicken Kabobs, roasted potatoes
Monday: Brauts, Macaroni Salad, and baked beans
Tuesday: BBQ Pork Chops, rice and corn
Wednesday: Sloppy Joe's and fries
Thursday: Ranch Style Chicken (from The Pioneer Woman), twice baked potatoes and green beans
Friday: Spaghetti Batch in the crock pot, salad, and garlic bread
Saturday: BBQ Chicken Legs (another pioneer woman recipe) corn on the cob, and potato salad.
Our weather is finally warming up so I plan on doing A LOT of cooking on the grill, it is just so nice to have a change of pace around dinner time. The girls get to play outside while Tyson and I can catch up from the day and cook. We did have a pretty eventful weekend this past weekend that required Camas to have emergency surgery, but that is a post I will do later today! Have a great week!!

Flashback Friday
Wow, I can't believe that they were all so "small" looking a year ago. Also I can't believe how long Morgan's hair was and how short Cameryn and Jaidyns hair is!

My Menu
As I sit here and type this, I don't have my menu planned for this week. We have a busy week and it is going to be warm out so I am trying to think of some good BBQ recipes that we can make. I also have to get to the grocery store and I just don't think that is going to happen. Cameryn has her Orthopedic follow up today at 3 to see how her walking is going. I think she is doing a lot better but her toes still turn inwards when she walks so we will see what he has to say about that. I have to get a root canal on Wednesday morning and I am so not looking forward to that, and than the girls have their speech therapy on Thursday. I also have a ton of errands to run and I don't know if I am going to have the patience to take all 3 girls to a major grocery shopping trip so I am trying to see if I can get by this week so I can go this weekend. However on Saturday I get to get pampered, our Aunt Donna got me a mani/pedi and hair cut/color for me for Mothers Day and our cousin Cassy (she is in school for this) gets to do it! So again, my Saturday is busy as well. So we will so how it goes.
Sunday: Mushroom and Swiss Sliders (we didn't have these on Saturday) and roasted potatoes
Monday: Chicken Fajitas and tator tots
Tuesday: Rigatoni w/ sausage links, and garlic bread
Wednesday: Grilled Tilapia, rice and corn
Thursday: Braut Burgers, baked beans, and pasta salad
Friday: Pizza Night
Saturday: ?? depends if I get to the store or not.
I could really use a lot more "time" this week as it seems to be such a hectic week I still have a ton of laundry to do, I have to make my menu for the coming month so I can make sure I get everything at the grocery store, I have to pay some bills, clean the house, the girls need baths, I need to defrost our freezer in the garage, it is an endless list. I am off to go and tackle some of this! Have a great week everyone!!!

My Menu
We are back to a normal week this week. After having my aunt and cousin come to Boise to visit and than a few days later my friend from high school for a week, and than me preparing for my Boise mom of multiples garage sale it has been a few hectic weeks. It is a bit bittersweet to be getting back to our "routine" as I enjoyed every minute of the company I had since I am alone most of the time during the day with the kids! Here is my menu for the week, it looks like we are going to finally have some warmer weather than what we have been having! Yay for that because I love to cook on the BBQ! Here is my menu for the week:
Sunday: BBQ Baby back ribs, corn on the cob (our first of the season and it was delicious!) and Crash Hot Potatoes (from The Pioneer woman, and they were to die for!)
Monday: Angel Chicken (new recipe), noodles, garlic bread and mixed veggies
Tuesday: BBQ Pork Chops, rice and green beans
Wednesday: Beer Can Chicken, crash hot potatoes (yes they were that good) and salad
Thursday: Kielbasa, noodles, and corn
Friday: BLT's, fries and pasta salad
Saturday: Appetizers, Mushroom and Swiss Sliders (another pioneer woman recipe) Chicken Wings, and Shrimp quesadilla's (yup another PW recipe--what can I say, she is a good cook!)
As you can see I am a little obsessed with The Pioneer Woman recipes, First of all, I got her cookbook as my birthday present and it has some recipes in there that are not on her web page. Second of all, all the things of hers that we have cooked (which is a lot) we have not found ONE thing we didn't like. The husband told me last night after making her Crash Hot Potatoes that I need to just cook from her recipes and nothing from Pinterest (we have had some flops from there). Have a great week!

My Menu
It is that time again for me to plan my menu, I actually have 2 weeks planned out, however this week is subject to change as well. My best friend from high school and her 2 year old (completely adorable Ethan) are flying out this week to come and visit. She is either coming Tuesday or Wednesday and than her husband is joining us on Friday night for the weekend. So I want to see what she feels like eating before I set this menu in stone. However I know she is not a picky eater and I am pretty sure the only thing she won't eat is Seafood (I consider that a sin, but I guess not everyone likes seafood as much as I do!)
Last week my Aunt and Cousin came and we had a great time, it was sad to see them go! We ended up eating out at Chapala's on Thursday night (our favorite Mexican joint) and than on Friday we BBQ some Tilapia and Saturday we BBQ some chicken wings and steak. I of course was so wrapped up in conversations that I didn't take any pictures, so I am hoping my cousin got some good ones and will send them to me!
Anyways, here is my menu
Sunday: BBQ day---Chorizo's, baked beans and pasta salad
Monday: BBQ Pork Chops, rice and corn
Tuesday: Chicken Parmesan, noodles, salad and garlic bread
Wednesday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME--yup, turning 35, how crazy is that, I am not sure what I want so I am going to wait and see what I feel like eating on this day.
Thursday: BLT's, fries, and macaroni salad
Friday: BBQ Cheeseburgers, tator tots, leftover macaroni salad
Saturday: Chicken Kabobs? Or Appetizers? Depends on the weather!
That is it for another week of my menu. I am planning on getting an update on the girls since they just turned 21 months old, I can't believe that they are going to be 2 in three months! Crazy how fast time goes by!! Have a great week!

My Menu
I am in a funk with my menu this week. Last week I was spoiled enough where I didn't have to cook everyday that I am now in this rut and don't know what to make. I did make it to the grocery store and now I have to get it into gear and make up my monthly menu. This week my Aunt and Cousin are flying in on Thursday for the weekend so for right now the meals for those days are up in the air as I don't know what we are going to be doing the whole time they are here. So hopefully this doesn't continue my meal planning rut. I figured I could get the whole month planned out so that won't be the case next week!
Sunday: BBQ Baby back ribs, baked potatoes and salad
Monday: Meatloaf, Au gratin potatoes, corn and rolls
Tuesday: Teriyaki Chicken Stir Fry, rice, and egg rolls
Wednesday: Spaghetti, garlic bread and salad
Thursday: ??
Friday: ??
Saturday: ??
Nothing new this week so far, but the last three days are still up in the air so we will see. Just to let you all know as well these cheeseburger wraps I made two weeks ago were wonderful! I suggest you try them, they were easy and delicious!

My Menu
It is that time again, I don't really have anything exciting planned for my menu this week. I am just not feeling adventurous enough to go all out and try something new. Plus my sister in law Jamie, brother in law Dan, and my niece Maggie, are here from Everett visiting so I am not sure what all the plans are for meals etc. until I get a chance to chat with them about it and to see if they want anything in particular (well my brother in law is flying back Tuesday morning, so really it depends on what my sister in law would like :))
Sunday: Easter dinner out at the Canale Ranch! They made Ham, Cheesy Potatoes, Broccoli, Turkey and gravy, and rolls. It was delicious and I didn't have to cook!
Monday: BBQ at Tyson's Uncle Bobby's and Aunt Donna's house. Hot Dogs, Chicken and Hamburgers on the grill. Double yea for me cause again I don't have to cook!
Tuesday: It is going to be 80 degrees, so I figured BBQ. Either Chicken Legs or Kielbasa, I will see what that plan is after I talk with Jamie about it.
Wednesday: I was thinking Taco's, maybe Meatloaf...not sure yet.
Thursday: Either Chicken Legs or Kielbasa, depending on what we do on Tuesday.
Friday: Order out night, either pizza or I will pick up some fried chicken with salads
Saturday: Appetizer night. Chicken Wings--hot and teriyaki, potato skins and steak bites (yum, I am already drooling)
This is not my normal menu, I am going grocery shopping this weekend as well and I have no plan for meals. I am just not feeling motivated enough at this moment to plan, so I hope I get motivated soon. Plus the weather makes a huge difference in if I want to heat up the house with the oven or use the BBQ. I am off to find some motivation! Have a great week!!!

My Menu
Here is to another week, again the weather is not looking that great, but I am hoping that will change. I really want to get to my BBQ! Last week we didn't make too many new recipes, but I did make Chicken Ranch Taco's and they were delicious, actually, they were even better the next day! I highly recommend anyone to make them, you won't be sorry! Here is my menu:
Sunday: Chicken Kabobs, roasted potatoes, and corn (this was planned for Saturday when it was 73 degrees, but Tyson ended up getting invited to go play pool, so he had a boys night out)
Monday: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO US! 7 YEARS!! Beer Marinated Grilled Chicken, noodles and green beans (not a fancy meal, but we will be making ourselves a special meal on Saturday, after the kids are in bed)
Tuesday: Rigatoni w/ spaghetti sauce, olive garden bread sticks (I didn't make them last week), and salad
Wednesday: Beer Can Chicken, twice baked potatoes, and corn
Thursday: Homemade Sloppy Joe's (From PW, I have made them before and they are delicious), tator tots and salad
Friday: Cheeseburger Wraps (new recipe and I am excited to try this), homemade fries and pasta salad
Saturday: Beef Filet, caramelized mushrooms and onions and garlic and butter shrimp
I am going to try to post a new recipe once a week, including pictures. I figured I will post our FAVORITE from that week so you all can see how it turned out. So stay tuned.....

Thursday Talk
Morgan: "Mom, I think I want to get my ears pierced"
Me: "You do?"
Morgan: " Yes, I won't be scared, I can bring my ah ah with me, and I am a big girl now so I can get them done, I am 74"
Me: Laughing as I said "Really, your 74? Or are you 4?"
Morgan: Laughing, "Your right Mom, I am only 4, but I am still a big girl"
Me: "Yes you are, lets wait until Daddy gets home and we will ask him if it will be okay to go get your ears pierced"
Morgan: "Mom, why don't you just text him"
I was laughing, not only for how witty she is, but when I was her age texting didn't even exist. Which then made me feel really old!

My Menu
Well another week is gone and it is time for my menu! We stuck to our menu last week so that was nice that I didn't have to come up with an alternative at the last minute! I am now trying to mold my menu based on the weather, since we love to BBQ. We had a few nice warm moments this weekend and right now it is cold and raining.....I just want our spring to be here!!!! Before I know it will be 100 plus degrees outside which is UNBEARABLE! I just would like a few weeks of 70-80 degrees where we can enjoy being outside and cooking on the grill!
Sunday: Cheeseburgers, baked beans and fries
Monday: Spaghetti Batch in the crock pot, olive garden bread sticks
Tuesday: Grilled Pork Chops (suppose to be the nicest of this week), Au gratin potatoes, and corn
Wednesday: Chicken Ranch Tacos (new recipe), Spanish rice and re fried beans
Thursday: Beef and Noodles (another new recipe), green beans and rolls
Friday: OUT (Not sure where yet, but out)
Saturday: Appetizer night, Chicken bites, potato skins, and steak bites (THEY WERE DELICIOUS AND I HAVE TO HAVE THEM AGAIN!!)
Like I said we made The Pioneer Woman's steak bites this weekend and the last two mornings I woke up CRAVING them. They were divine, so frickin good!! I recommend them to EVERYONE! Well I am off to do more laundry (never ending in this house!) Have a great week everyone. Oh and I promise to have another update on the girls...I got some really good pictures of them this weekend, so stay tuned!

My Menu
I didn't get a chance to post my menu yesterday because I was busy in the morning watching my neighbor's son for a few hours before he had to go to preschool. I did my grocery shopping on Saturday and remember I wanted to stick to a $160 budget, and my results? I went $30.00 over, so not bad. I was pretty much right on for what I thought the prices were, however I did put a few "splurge" items in the cart. Even though they weren't "splurge" I just forgot to add them to my list, like Yogurt for the girls (they LOVE yogurt and eat it almost every day!) So I didn't feel guilty, I was happy with the results! Here is my menu:
Sunday: Teriyaki and Spicy Chicken Legs, Baked Potatoes, and Green Beans
Monday: Sweet and Sour Chicken (new recipe and it was delicious!), rice and salad
Tuesday: Taco Tuesday: Ground Beef Tacos, tator tots, and refried beans
Wednesday: Rigatoni w/ spaghetti sauce, garlic bread and salad
Thursday: W.T. Mac and Cheese, chili and baked potatoes
Friday: Carne Asada, grilled veggies and potato rounds
Saturday: Appetizer night (I didn't get to this last Saturday) Wings, Steak Bites (so excited, from the pioneer woman) and Crab Rangoon.
Now if only it would warm up more here, I have a lot of barbecuing recipes planned for this coming month and when it is 40 degrees outside and raining all the time it is hard to get out and use that BBQ! This has been the craziest Winter/Spring since I have lived in Boise! Barely any snow and quite warm in the winter, now that it is spring is cold, rainy and has snowed a couple times this month! I want my Spring!! Let's hope it is going to get better!!! Have a great week everyone!
